What?
Introduction to Python: If you’ve ever wanted to learn Python but were afraid to ask questions or indeed, wanted to ask about the more interesting aspects of Python, learn about Django, Pyserial or the odder python libraries or just learn a language for the first time, this is the course for you.
When?
21st November '2010 – 21st November '2010. We may finish earlier or later depending on what people want to know.
Where?
Laboratory 24, 37 Cremer Street, Hoxton E2 8HD. Laboratory 24 is within the Cremer Business Centre on Cremer street. The Northern Entrance is well sign posted and we are on the second floor
What do I bring?
You’ll need a laptop capable of running Python and Pyglet. Most laptops are capable of this but you’ll need administrator access for the machine you bring.
Schedule
_10am Start and Setup of Machines
_11am Workshop begins with the basics of Python culminating in the
creation of a bomberman clone
_1pm – break
_1:30 -2pm resume workshop
_4:30 onwards – Covering of extra topics depending on requests. Examples include Django, pyserial, etc
The workshop will consist of ready made python programs for you to play with, language demonstrations and talks about the different aspects of the language.
How much?
There is no charge, HOWEVER the space survives on donations from the public. There is a recommended donation of £20 for the day which is spent on keeping the London Hackspace going so we can run events like this.
